Sounds good, except I would rather not include translation questions.
Vocabulary knowledge can be tested in other ways, such as via simple
definitions in Lojban or appropriate use of a word in context. That
way the test is not restricted to English speakers.

The first task should probably be the selection of the 500 words or so
to be included for the first level, probably based on some usage
frequency data. I guess we should concentrate on the first level test
first.
