The term "inert gas" does not mean the first six members of Group 18 on the periodic table. Noble gases, nitrogen gas and even some compound gases are called inert gas depending on context, though some heavier noble gases, as well as nitrogen, react with other substances under certain conditions. On the other hand, the term "noble gas" means exactly the first six members of Group 18 on the periodic table. The ununoctium, a member of Group 18, may not be a member of noble gas because of its chemical properties. Guessing from the etymology "neon" and the examples of x2 [neon/argon/radon/xenon/krypton], the creator of this gismu seems to intend to define {navni} as "noble gas", not "inert gas". If not, by any chance, "nitrogen", the most familiar inert gas under ordinary conditions, should have been listed as an example of x2, or "radon/xenon/krypton" are not very appropriate in some contexts. gismu for "noble gas" is more useful than "inert gas", because the latter is easily expressed with lujvo {tolfragapci}. Inert gases are different from noble gases both in the intension and t= he extension.=A0

The term "inert gas" do= es not mean the first six members of Group 18 on the periodic table. Noble = gases, nitrogen gas and even some compound gases are called inert gas depen= ding on context, though some heavier noble gases, as well as nitrogen, reac= t with other substances under certain conditions.=A0

On the other hand, the term "noble gas" means= exactly the first six members of Group 18 on the periodic table. The ununo= ctium, a member of Group 18, may not be a member of noble gas because of it= s chemical properties.

Guessing from the etymology "neon" and the ex= amples of x2 [neon/argon/radon/xenon/krypton], the creator of this gismu se= ems to intend to define {navni} as "noble gas", not "inert g= as". If not, by any chance, "nitrogen", the most familiar in= ert gas under ordinary conditions, should have been listed as an example of= x2, or "radon/xenon/krypton" are not very appropriate in some co= ntexts.

gismu for "noble gas" is more useful than &qu= ot;inert gas", because the latter is easily expressed with lujvo {tolf= ragapci}. In conclusion, I recommend to correct this error by replacing &qu= ot;inert" with "noble".
