Just because a word in one language can have many different meanings doesn't mean that there could or should be a word in a different language that has those same range of meanings. For example, the Hebrew word חִפֵּשׂ (xipas), can variously mean to "to try to come up a piece of information one is looking for (wrack one's brains)" or "to dress someone up/disguise someone" Try to find a single English (or lojban) word that conveys both meanings. --gejyspa
