Is it legal to make a lujvo from a rafsi + > fu'ivla like {caxmatikelta'o} = chess board? .skamyxatra A {rafsi} and a {fu'ivla} together would make another {fu'ivla}, assuming that the compound adheres to all of the {fu'ivla} morphology rules. You cannot make a {lujvo} (as it is defined for the purposes of Lojban morphology) from a {fu'ivla} unless you use a {rafsi fu'ivla} as described in section 4.16 of the CLL, but I don't think that feature ever got close to being an official part of the language anyway. However, I'm pretty sure that "{caxmatikelta'o}" (which is neither a {rafsi} + {fu'ivla} compound nor a potential {rafsi fu'ivla}) is a valid {fu'ivla}, even though you probably weren't trying to make it so. mu'omi'e .kamymecraijun. -- le munje vi smaji
