But {le'otci} must include also "contact lenses", "hand lenses", "telescope lenses", and every other types of tool with a lens as its main component. Then we want distinct words for each of them. "eyeglasses" and "contact lenses" are probably of more general interest and worth more attention. I initially came up with: kaldadle'o (kanla-dandu-lenjo) - eyeglasses kalniple'o (kanla-snipa-lenjo) - contact lenses But some eyeglasses can be lens-less (e.g. sunglasses). Swapping {-le'o} with {-blaci} would be a bad idea, since "eyeglass lenses are commonly made from plastic, including CR-39 and polycarbonate" (Wikipedia). {-slasi} wouldn't do either, because there are/were glass-made eyewears. Then, {-tci} or {-ta'u}. What are your suggestions? mu'o mi'e tijlan
