But when in English (as in Alice) we talk about just 'currants', they are dried Black Corinth grapes. Grapes of all kinds are from genus Vitis. Dried grapes are either raisins, sultanas or currants.  So a fu'ivla based on Vitis would be appropriatre for raisins, sultanas and currants which I think would be good enough for Alice.  Something like {sudga vtistivi}. (The lojban wiki seems to be down, and I don't remember the acceptable type 4 forms). totus
