The motion is presumed approved, but has been overtaken by events, in 
that I have had no time to work on the bylaw amendment summary, which is 
necessary to consider same during the meeting.  We may need to start the 
meeting without bylaw amendments, if I am going to move things along 
before I am sidelined for surgery.

I welcome alternate suggestions for dealing with bylaws - perhaps a 
special meeting, or perhaps someone can see an interpretation of the 
bylaws that allows amendments to be considered 2 weeks after 
notification, even if the meeting started earlier. (Such an 
interpretation doesn't look plausible to me.)

The primary bylaw changes are confirmation of changes that appear to 
have been intended in 2003, but the minutes are ambiguous as to whether 
they were approved.  See the Lojban List thread instigated by mukti at 
the end of August and lasting a few days into September entitled 
verifying LLG's current bylaws.  (Perhaps the confirmation of a presumed 
change is not a change requiring notice.)

I also planned to add one Bylaw proposal to separate the Secretary and 
Treasurer offices to allow separate people to hold them.  There have 
been complaints about the lack of meeting minutes from annual and Board 
meetings, and Robin has made it pretty clear he doesn't want to do them. 
  Electing someone like mukti who seems to care about the matter is a 
solution.  Or perhaps we can talk mukti into taking on the 
still-combined Secretary/Treasurer job.

Opinions on all this are welcome.  I will plan to announce the meeting 
starting the 3rd, after this weekend, and without the bylaw amendments, 
unless someone has another idea.
