I have serious reservations about pre-meeting discussions as I stated before. These are very likely to result in opinions already being formed without input from everyone else who may want to contribute. We do span a large number of time zones, after all. There are also people who are active learners yet not as well versed our have as much accessibility to applications/programs As others. Email may be the only option for them to communicate and it is definitely not right to leave people out just for this reason.
