I need to recruit a couple university linguists to sign onto the proposal before submitting it, I'll work on that this week. I had some more Lojban examples in a previous draft, but, when I showed it to a colleague at Virginia Tech who has more experience winning grants than me, he suggested I take the technical stuff out and leave the white paper simpler and more general. So it looks like I won't need any help with the Lojban for this white paper after all. If the white paper passes the filtering phase and we are given permission to submit an actual proposal, THEN I will need help with some Lojban examples, unless my Lojban has advances significantly by then ;-) Actually getting government grant $$ is always chancy, so I wouldn't want any of y'all to get your hopes up too high --- but if this $$ does come through it will certainly be cool.... If not, I will keep on keeping my eyes out and apply for any other appropriate grants that come my way in future. -- Ben Goertzel On 8/1/06, Ben Goertzel wrote: > Thanks Robin! > > Arnt has already done a little bit of Lojban translation for me ... if > I need any more I will ask you or him. > > I will send y'all a draft of the "white paper" later in the week...
