Actually, we also owe $1000 to Perry Smith, though I don't know how to contact him these days (he lived in Ann Arbor at last contact and Robin should have his last known address - perhaps Matt could track him down in his copious spare time); he is of pc's generation and hence could be passed away. I believe he worked for the American Mathematical Association. He loaned LLG $1000 for publication of CLL, did NOT want it considered a donation but rather a loan, but also was in no great hurry to get paid back, nor to collect interest. I suspect that he would consider that loan extendible to any other book publication, but it would be polite to check. lojbab
