That's what I thought as well, although I don't think we'd take *that* much out of the sale of the remaining CLLs, seeing that it's available online in many other formats. (And we _want_ it available online, cf. the copyright notice.) > There is also the edit master, in some then-version of Microsoft Word > (very tricky to use because I had to format the entire 600+ page > document for the printer's linotype machine, and the idiosyncrasies of > that formatting make the pagination and thus the index got screwed up > royally with even the slightest change, and it could not be printed on > any other printer with proper pagination). > > There has been enough board turnover that I suspect that some of us may > not have been aware of the continued existence of these masters, so I am > posting this for institutional memory purposes. Thank you, I was indeed unaware of their existence. It will probably be easier to work on the basis of the HTML versions when the time comes to do the 2nd edition. We'll have to incorporate the BPFK changes, hundreds of small errata[1], and if I'm not mistaken, Matt has indicated willingness to redo the visual layout completely. The thing we really need to keep in those masters, because it would save us a lot of work, is Nora's excellent keyword index.
