I bring printed labels to slap on the customs forms and it makes it much faster. I go to the local shipping store every couple of days, so that part will be quite routine. I'm really glad how well-suited I am for this. However, one way that I am less-suited is that I have no ability to front the money and get reimbursed. So, I am very glad that Robin can send me a card with which to spend the LLG's money on shipping. With the PodDisc credit card, I collect all receipts and email scans of them to the Escape Artists, Inc. treasurer on a regular periodic basis, so he can compare them to the charges that appear on the statement. Of course I will do that for Robin as well. > PayPal automatically sends the orders to lojban@lojban.org; you > should have seen many since you became president last year. OK, I figured that was almost certainly what those were for. It would have been nice if they had all been donations, but oh well! >> For mailers, I've looked at several solutions, and each of them >> costs $75, give or take $3. What have you been using? > > I can't think of any value of the word "mailers" there such that $75 > makes any sense at all. Expand, please. OK, I would like you both to look at them if you have a minute. According to Lojbab, we have been using bubble mailer envelopes previously. My CLL has bumps and scrapes on it. I would like to consider shipping our product with more protection from damage, and an Amazon-like presentation that we can be proud of. Here are the links: http://www.uline.com/BL_1305/Deluxe-Easy-Fold-Mailers The deluxe Easy-Fold Mailer is what I use for PodDisc.com CDs. Easy-fold mailers have several fold-lines impressed in the cardboard, to be adaptable to a wide range of item sizes so our book will not rattle around a lot. What makes these deluxe is the adhesive strip for sealing it, and the tearoff strip that the addressee uses to open it. The minimum pack of 50 is $74.50. http://www.uline.com/BL_1602/Self-Seal-Jiffy-Rigi-Bagreg-Mailers Jiffy Rigid Envelopes are a less-impressive presentation, offering less protection to the book, but fiberboard is far better than other envelopes. The minimum case of 200 of the 8 1/2 x 13" size would run us $74. http://www.uline.com/BL_1601/Self-Seal-Corrugated-Mailers Self-seal Corrugated Envelopes would work comparably to the Jiffy Rigid. The minimum 100 of the 12.5 x 17" costs $70. http://www.uline.com/BL_1402/Literature-Mailers-Kraft I just found this one through further browsing. It would be $30 for 50 of the 11 1/8 x 8 3/4 x 2" Letterhead size. This looks like our best bet. Let me know if you'd prefer to stick to bubble envelopes. I would also like to use two dollars to purchase a separate roll of packing tape than the one I use for PodDisc and other shipping. -Matt
