Allocate $NUM USD to a list of candidates (on a first-come, first serve basis), until $BUDGET USD is reached. I have just talked over our financial situation a bit with Robin on IRC. Turns out our balance is at $5500, and we make about $300 per quarter. With that in mind, I move the following: 1. To authorize the secretary/treasurer to spend up to $1000 of LLG funds, at his discretion, to defray transport costs for people who could otherwise not afford to go to Logfest 2009. This financial support should not exceed $300 per person. 2. If we receive a donation with the specific intent to support travel costs, the secretary/treasurer is authorized to spend that donation as well, even if the total amount spent on Logfest travel exceeds $1000. Note that this is only intended to cover Logfest 2009. But if this turns out to be successful (and book sales don't tank!) we'll be able to do this every year, and still have plenty of cash left over for future projects. -- Arnt Richard Johansen http://arj.nvg.org/ I know, I know.
