He was in town for a business meeting. He apparently works for a media company. Among other projects, they are working on a TV series which might make some use of Lojban. It is still back burner, so probably around 1 1/2 years off. He asked whether there would be royalties for such use - I said no, though we would gladly accept voluntary donations in lieu of same. They would also likely contract with us or skilled Lojbanists for translation if the thing gets off the ground. He also asked me what we are doing with social networking. I mentioned Second Life, the Old Lojban MOO, and the wiki. He asked whether anyone was working on a true social networking system, akin to Facebook, and suggested that might be a good idea. I haven't gone anywhere near that sort of thing, and have no idea whether anyone else has thought of it. Anyone doing such a thing, in case I hear from him again? I don't have his contact info, but presume that he'll get in touch with us if he wants us. lojbab
