The first order of business is election of new officers. As with the Board election, someone can nominate individuals or a slate. However, the existing officers should have a chance to express their willingness to serve another year before being railroaded %^). I ended up as president again unplanned, and somewhat ill-timed due to my own health problems and those of my son. Robin noted that this was in part because with only 3 directors, and two of them already in office, it was the easiest solution at the time. Should I offer to continue as President? I have not given the job the time >I< think it needs, though Robin at the time suggested that all I needed to do was stay out of the way of people trying to get things done, which I think I have managed %^). I've toyed with the idea of offering to switch jobs with Robin, to give him a break from the bookkeeping, but my track record in that department is one of procrastination, and I am pretty sure it wouldn't be a wise choice. If people are satisfied with my level of effort the last few months, I am willing to serve another term. I'll try to do better, but I'm not going to make any promises. -- Bob LeChevalier lojbab@lojban.org www.lojban.org President and Founder, The Logical Language Group, Inc.
