Ah, I see. What the email meant was that the box full of books needs a label. That is: one label slapped on each book, put the books in a box, and one label on the outside of the box, so they know what's in the box. We do *not* need to individually pack each book. See the attached emails, which have complete instructions. If Matt wants to get out of the business entirely and send his stuff, that's fine, if he has access to a laser printer to print the labels. I suppos ehe can use kinko's. As treasurer, I declare that he is allowed to use his LLG credit card for that purpose; someone can move to override that if they want. -Robin -- http://singinst.org/ : Our last, best hope for a fantastic future. Dear Logical Language Group,

Thank you for choosing Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)! FBA offers you a competitive advantage on Amazon.com and saves you the hassle of shipping customer orders yourself. If you sell books and media, consider using EasySell as a quick and simple way to list your items and send your box to our fulfillment centers.

Once your inventory is listed, the next step is to ship it! Sending your stuff to Amazon is simple. Here are a few tips that will help you prepare your first shipment.

  • Make sure the quantity you are shipping for each item is the same quantity you listed online for your shipment.
  • Print your shipping label on a laser printer, if available, to assure readability. Inkjet printers can smudge or look blurry.
  • Stick the shipping label on each box you are shipping next to the carrier's label and away from edges and seams.
  • Consider using an Amazon Partnered Carrier and receive Amazon's deeply discounted shipping rates or a carrier (such as UPS or FedEx) that can provide a tracking number. Note: While USPS provides shipping confirmation, they do not provide a tracking number Amazon can use to locate your shipment.
After you drop off your box with your preferred carrier, sign into your seller account by going to "Your Account" on Amazon.com. There you will find an assortment of tools that will enable you to see your listings, change your prices, monitor your orders, and see your balance if you make money. If one of your items is sold, we ll send it to your buyer and credit your payment account for the sale minus our fees. Amazon automatically pays you the balance of your payment account every 14 days.

If you have any questions, check out our detailed Help section with frequently asked questions and quick reference guides. If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact Amazon.

Good luck with your sales!

Each media item is required to be labeled with a barcode that we will provide to you. You will simply need to obtain 1 x 2-5/8 inches inch mailing labes (www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z5SM) to print these barcodes on. This barcode will contain information that links to you, the item, and the condition. Since there are many different sellers with similar titles and different conditions, this is required on all Media items. Here are some additional Help topics about getting started with FBA. I'm hoping we can just slap the sticker on the book and ship you a box of stickered books, to be fulfilled individually, because boxing them individually is a lot of work. -Robin --=20 http://singinst.org/ : Our last, best hope for a fantastic future.
