If the Founders who are also members (Bob > LeChevalier, Nora LeChevalier, and Tommy Whitlock) do not object, John > could also be acknowledged as a Founder. I don't at all consider myself a founder or Founder, and wouldn't care for that title very much. My father is Honorary President in Perpetuity of Amintaphil (the U.S. section of the International Foundation for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy), although since his death in 1993 they have removed his name from the letterhead and web site. Back in 1789, the first U.S. Congress was debating what title should be given to the President. They kicked around "His Highness", "His Excellency", and even "His Elective Majesty", but finally settled on "Mr. President", perhaps helped along by the suggestion that the Vice President, John Adams, be called "His Superfluous Excellency" (he was later known informally as "His Rotundity"). So let's not take this too seriously. A simple mandatory ".iocai" after my name will suffice. :-) -- John Cowan http://www.ccil.org/~cowan cowan@ccil.org "Any legal document draws most of its meaning from context. A telegram that says 'SELL HUNDRED THOUSAND SHARES IBM SHORT' (only 190 bits in 5-bit Baudot code plus appropriate headers) is as good a legal document as any, even sans digital signature." --me _______________________________________________ Llg-members mailing list Llg-members@lojban.org http://mail.lojban.org/mailman/listinfo/llg-members
