The= whole point of a wiki is free collaboration, so I agree that it would be b= ad for the community to block access to most people. But some sort of super= vision should be enforced, if we take raised concerns seriously. So, we are= going to need to strike some sort of balance or heirarchy.

I agree with that. For many years I complained that no= body was hellping me with the wiki.

So a person (o= ther than me and Robin) should be elected to provide these duties.

Her/his e-mail address should be given read-only access to= thelogicallanguagegro= up@gmail.com so that she/she starts receiving account requests.

The duty of this person should be within several days (th= e sooner the better) approve account requests, delete results of spammer= 9;s intrusions if they neverthless happen and fulfil users' requests. I= f not possible then this person must report problems to the lojban mailing = list of LLG mailing list so that other members can make suggestions.

In fact over the last years first one person got involve= d with the wiki (Robin), then another person with Robin retaining only serv= er-side duties. This must change.

Your concerns are practical and I think that we should addre= ss them.

Good, because it was going way overboard. Installing a *police* to "ex= ecute" laws on a wiki of a volunteer-driven community? Also, I *highly= * doubt Robin is in the least bit interested in doing anything even remotel= y related to what you suggested.

If everyone is in favor of putting certain pages under LLG's control th= en that should be easy to do, and should not require a crazy set of rules o= f the kind suggested.

If everyone is in favor of gleki no longer having access to certain twitter= accounts or parts of lojban.org's server, those things can be put to the v= ote, and gleki has indicated that he will obey the decision of the membersh= ip.

But please, let's keep things practical.

Partially relevant to this. I'm a bit concerned that no on= e but me has been adding new members to the wiki.
People make req= uests but no one seems to be seeing them.

I hope l= a mukti will reply and add read-only access to thelogicallanguagegroup@gmail.co= m to more people so that they get notifications for each new account re= quest pending.

=
So please discuss =C2=A0and decide who will be accepting n= ew member into the wiki, blocking them, renaming their accounts on request.=

I highly doubt Robin can agree to quickly do such= things again as he used to do.

By the way, I = just accepted one more member into the wiki. It'd be extremely strange = to stop people from entering the wiki.
Blocking any activity of u= sers will certainly mean that the language is forced to die.

=
I don't care who manages the wiki.

= I would be happy if someone else but me started doing so.
But som= eone must.
