Just for the record, I have no idea what you're talking about WRT daily reminders, however any mails that were sent daily were in error, and not as some form of punishment as the above attempts to suggest. > So I said that if I got one more, that I would resign and toss all > the fliers in the trash. I got one more. So I resigned, tossed > all the fliers in the trash, and killfiled you. It is amazing how totally this deviates from my experience. I send *dozens* of people these monthly reminders; you were the only one who had ever complained that they were to frequent. You did so impolitely, and to the entire list instead of just to me. The mail specifically says who to send complaints to, but you ignored it. You have, in fact, done so again: this mail was sent to you privately, but you have responded to the entire list. You then proceeded to ignore every mail I sent to the list asking for more detail, from me and others. It was *incredibly* rude. > An examination of my recent procmail logs shows that now, years > later, you're *still* sending me reminders. My entire archives of that discussion are attached. I apologize to the rest of the list for the size of said attachment. Please not that this archive does *not* include a statement from you that you were resigning from the committee (only a childish threat to take your ball/flyers and go home) or killfiling me. The mail is sent automatically to ask for an update on the committee. You will notice that your last report is at http://www.lojban.org/llg/committees.html > I have taken flyers to over a dozen conventions including Worldcons, > but if my only reward is to be incessant harassment, I won't be doing > it again. Oh *please*. Why didn't you mail me when the code was accidentaly sending them out once a day instead of once a month? > This also appears to be an automated email message. Sending anyone > automated email messages without their explicit permission is > extremely antisocial. Two points: 1. I told *everyone* on the Committees page that I was doing this. No-one, INCLUDING YOU, indicated that an e-mail once a month to ask for a report was unreasonable. 2. As someone who deletes *unread* all MIME e-mail, who the hell are you to tell me what is anti-social on the internet? I notice you also didn't respond directly to the source of the mail, but rather to everyone in all creation. And *I'm* the anti-social one. Yeah, whatever. All committees get e-mailed once a month at this point. If lojbab wants to over-ride that in your case, fine, but I can't do less often than once a month; it's either once a month, more often than once a month, or nothing.. If you don't want to be on a committee, fine. I apologize *again* for the time period that they were being sent out once a day, but as I've already sent mail out to all those effected, *including* *you*, I don't know why I should need to. -Robin -- http://www.digitalkingdom.org/~rlpowell/ http://www.lojban.org/ la lojban. jai curmi roda .einai to ku'i so'ada mukti le nu co'a darlu le'o -- RLP I'm a *male* Robin.
