The only reason I posted today was to say that I > don't need to know. Ummmm. If you don't care about the difference between the membership and the board and the BPFK, why did you accept your nomination to the board? I mean, if you don't even know what you were accepting, it seems like that might have been a bad idea. Too late now, though, and certainly having someone interested in reaching out to the community on the board is A Good Thing. OK, so if you're not interested, you can stop reading now, but I want to clear things up for everyone else: The baupla fuzykamni, also known as the BPFK or byfy, is the definitional committee for the Lojban language, charged with expanding the current documentation of the provisional Lojban baseline (and in particular improving the quality of cmavo definitions) as well as resolving any errors or conflicts that might exist. See http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=baupla+fuzykamni&bl for details. I consider it to be a Serious Problem that the BPFK has very little activity, and I don't know what to do about it, and I'm soliciting help. Further clarification: The membership of the LLG is responsible for directing the corporate behaviour of The Logical Language Group, Inc., a non-profit registered charity of the state of Virginia. The membership of the LLG appoints a Board Of Directors to run the corporation on a day-to-day basis, so the whole membership doesn't have to be gathered together for every little decision. -Robin -- http://www.digitalkingdom.org/~rlpowell/ *** http://www.lojban.org/ Reason #237 To Learn Lojban: "Homonyms: Their Grate!"
