Your doubt turns out to be incorrect. Long experience of active Lojbanists who interact with new learners proves that they consistently "give a damn" about being given a straight answer on gadri. Not necessarily giving a damn what the gadri mean, so long as they mean something they won't have to relearn. Indecision on the commonest word in the language is a dealbreaker for them. -Eppcott
