This is both the wrong time (3+ years too late) and the wrong forum to be expressing this rant. Which isn't saying that it's too late to change anything; it's not. Just expressing some annoyance that after many, many hours of work on this, people are popping out to complain so late after the fact. We didn't pick xorlo because we wanted to make things easier for a certain group, we did it because we found things *we couldn't figure out how to express in the language*. While I'm certainly not interested in losing someone with your background from the language, the fact remains that there are problems with the gadri that need to be solved, and saying "You people are horrible" doesn't solve them. There's discussion somewhere in http://lojban.org/lists/jboske/ and in most or all of http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=454&topics_threshold=0&topics_offset=211&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&topics_find=&forumId=1 and http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=724&topics_threshold=0&topics_offset=263&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&topics_find=&forumId=1 (I don't know why those two are seperate; sorry). I suspect xorxes and others can remember the particular problems better than I, but as I said, this isn't really the place for it. If you want to do BPFK work (and if you have such a strong opinion, you certainly should) I'd certainly welcome that. -Robin -- Lojban Reason #17: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_buffalo Proud Supporter of the Singularity Institute - http://singinst.org/ http://www.digitalkingdom.org/~rlpowell/ *** http://www.lojban.org/
