If it's up to the board and they want the community's input before deciding - something I am in favor of them seeking - then I would be in favor of making the refrigerator magnets available if it can be done relatively cheaply, noting that volumes sold will probably be quite small. If the decision in fact belongs to the entire membership, I am going to have to vote against any proposal that doesn't include some sort of information on how much it would cost, and what the resulting prices and our profit would be; we as an organization should not be agreeing to spend our organizational funds without knowing what it means for our finances - but I trust that the answer will likely be one that gets my support. Alternatively, if it's the membership's job to worry about it, I'd be happy to vote for a motion authorizing the board to look into the question and act on their decision; I trust our board to spend the LLG's money wisely, and as it doesn't only meet once a year I'd rather let them handle things that will require somebody doing some research and reporting on what to do about it. b) As for embroidery, I think that either the LLG membership, the board, or (probably best, since I don't foresee any trouble) some officer should be required to approve anything being sold through the LLG website or using the official Lojban logo - but I can't imagine anybody, let alone you, wanting to distribute something inappropriate, so I do hope to see Jen's work made available for whoever likes it and wants it. - mi'e .kreig.daniyl.
