In fact, the board meeting is continuous; just post what you want to do to the board list, and the board can do anything it likes. Traditionally, we defer certain things to the annual meeting to get a sense of the community, but in practice the board has almost complete power (I mean, it can't dissolve the LLG or anything, but that's about it; if anyone cares as to *exactly* what the board can't do by itself, Cowan or I can specify (Cowan, that's an invitation to not bother to correct me unless someone asks :)). -Robin -- They say: "The first AIs will be built by the military as weapons."
