(I've never met him, but I know he practiced with another Lojbanist, in days of yore.) I was never fluent, and nowadays I can't even read Lojban (I confess). So unless the new wave of Lojbanists who've come along in the last five to ten years includes somebody from Britain, then I reckon there's nobody fluent over here. FWIW _Word of Mouth_ is a widely listened-to popular-interest programme on language (very journalistic, of course). I would expect that if Lojban were featured on the programme then it would generate a LOT of interest -- so it would be as well to be geared up with CLLs buyable from amazon.co.uk, and so forth. If getting-the-word-out-about-Lojban is important to LLG, then it would also pay off to work with Jolyon Jenkins to see what can be done (rather than just say to him "Soz, we can't help"). I would imagine that the programme would have the flavour of Arika Okrent's book. --And.
