{pu'u}, al= ong with {nu}'s other "disciples" like {zu'o}, are a subclass of {nu}. If u= sing {nu} seems weird, then using any of the more specific ones like {pu'u}= or {zu'o} is also weird.

jdice's x2 wants a {du'u} (or something that refers to one).=

For starters, {lo du'u mi certu la lojban} = isn't quite right because {la lojban} is concrete: it refers to the languag= e. You can't have skill *at a language*, but you can have skill at speaking= it, or writing it, or some combination of those. You can be explicit and u= se a full abstraction in certu2, such as {mi certu lo ka ce'u se bangu la l= ojban}, but considering how unnecessarily lengthy that is, you can replace = the abstraction with a tu'a-construction: {mi certu tu'a la lojban}

Next, {mi certu tu'a la lojban} has another problem. It= 'd mean "I have skill at [some abstraction involving] Lojban," whereas you = mean it to mean "I intend to become skillful at [some abstraction involving= ] Lojban." To get that "become", we can simply shove {binxo} into the mix: = {mi binxo lo ka [ce'u] certu tu'a la lojban}, or use a lujvo form such as {= mi crebi'o tu'a la lojban}.

As for the level higher, simply replacing your {pu'u} w= ith {du'u} is perhaps enough: {.i mi jdice lo du'u mi crebi'o tu'a la lojba= n}. But that bridi is very passive; you could simply be describing yourself= . The English has to do with intention more than decision. Including intent= ion into the jdice2 would be the ideal solution, I think. Doing so can be d= one simply in the form of an attitudinal such as {.ai} ({lo du'u .ai mi cre= bi'o tu'a la lojban}) or by mixing in {zukte} which is how I believe intent= ion is best handled (others will certainly suggest other methods) : {lo du'= u mi zukte lo ka crebi'o tu'a la lojban}, or again, an equivalent lujvo for= m {lo du'u mi crebi'ozu'e tu'a la lojban}.

Finally, passing that du'u-sumti we just created to jdi= ce2 does the trick: {.i mi jdice lo du'u mi crebi'ozu'e tu'a la lojban}, bu= t hey, it turns out that we can lujvo this even further! {.i mi crebi'ozu'e= jdi tu'a la lojban}, but making proper lujvo is a more complicated subject = still.

.i mi jbocrebi'ozu'ejdi = .i di'u .u'i

In the full form, including all the abstractions, the s= olution I propose turns out being {.i mi jdice lo du'u mi zukte lo ka binxo= lo ka certu lo ka ce'u se bangu la lojban}. Aren't lujvo a blast?

Can I use this in x2 of jdice? It seems like a decision should=20 be in there opposed to the abstract concept "the processing of becoming ski= lled at Lojban". Or does using it in x2 of jdice make the process the thing= I have decided to embark on?
