  Of course, this whole discussion is somewhat mooted by the fact that
Joanna does NOT mean "God's gift".  Not sure what source you got that from,
but take it from someone who speaks Hebrew -- it is from the Hebrew
Yochana, the feminine form of Yochanan (which became Johann in German, John
in English, Juan in Spanish, etc), and means "God is gracious".
