"lo ta tricu" means "that one's tree", that = is, someone at a medium distance
or near you owns a tree, and we're referring to the tree, which could b= e
anywhere. "lo va tricu" means "that tree".

"lo va tricu" and "le va tricu" are both fine here. The= re are lots of phrases
where either article can be used.
