I haven't been following but I also would use krici for the first and 
jinvi for the second.  if there is uncertainty, then krici is probably 
inaccurate, and smadi would apply.  The evidentials could be helpful in 
some cases. "I think Stockholm is a city" probably means that you heard 
it or read it or something, but haven't checked out your source.  jinvi 
would apply if you thought that the issue was whether Stockholm met the 
definition of/qualification for "city", and were using your own ad hoc 
criteria.

If you are giving reasons, then the various causals may apply.
