What material are you using to learn? I've got the lojban vocabulary trainer which seems like a waste of time, so I'll probably start plugging vocab into my own Excel based software which I use to learn other languages. The next issue is a dictionary - does one exist? I've tried to find the online one to no avail. All I wind up with is the opportunity to enter new words not look anything up. I'm in process of converting the grammar into Microsoft Reader. If you want it, let me know. The text is in and can be read in it's entirety in Microsoft Reader, it's just a matter of changing over the hyperlinks, getting a nice cover page and other tiny bits and pieces. Lastly, just a comment. I'd love to see someone translate the grammar into Lojban. -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Clark Sent: Tue, 13 Jan 2004 14:54:05 -0700 To: lojban-beginners@chain.digitalkingdom.org Subject: [lojban-beginners] Re: Seasons' Greetings GREGORY DYKE wrote: > Ask xorxes what he thought about the winter solstice! last june! > > Greg Hmm... "Celebrating the day approximately a fortnight before perihelion" seems to me to be the appropriate event. I just started learning lojban this week, though, so I'll leave lujvo creation to the more experienced readers. > durmijnunsla, btw, is a lujvo referring to celebrating an event of the > winter solstice, it's the most culturally neutral way to say it. -- Christopher Clark Pongidae, and proud of it.
