It doesn't break gracefully. A program that generated a number of correctly-parsing variations on an incorrect text would be such a great teaching tool that it would be the biggest technological breakthrough in Lojban history. For instance, if the sentence parses without the offending word, it could output that version as an option showing where a word was deleted. It could translate only segments that successfully parse and show which segments are spit out. It could add a broda, zo'e, or generic label representing a selma'o, that makes the text parse. Or, it could shift the order of a word so that the text would parse. Never mind if the output is nonsensical, if the user is alerted at least this would cause input to fail meaningfully. Searching the text for these options would probably require signifigant processing time, but it would be a program well worth downloading for someone struggling to learn the intermediate-to-advanced grammar. Such as me, for instance. I cannot find what > the error is. > > -------------------- > SYNTAX ERROR IN TEXT > -------------------- > Misparsed token : > soi [SOI] (line 1, col 783) > Latest successfully parsed tokens : > py [BY2] (line 1, col 780) > xatra [BRIVLA] (line 1, col 774) > lo [LE] (line 1, col 771) > benji [BRIVLA] (line 1, col 765) > mi [KOhA3] (line 1, col 762) > nu [NU] (line 1, col 759) > lo [LE] (line 1, col 757) > fanmo [BRIVLA] (line 1, col 751) > -------------------- > -------------------- > SYNTAX ERROR IN TEXT > -------------------- > Misparsed token : > soi [SOI] (line 1, col 929) > Latest successfully parsed tokens : > py [BY2] (line 1, col 926) > xatra [BRIVLA] (line 1, col 920) > lo [LE] (line 1, col 917) > benji [BRIVLA] (line 1, col 911) > mi [KOhA3] (line 1, col 908) > nu [NU] (line 1, col 905) > lo [LE] (line 1, col 903) > ranji [BRIVLA] (line 1, col 897) > -------------------- > Syntax error following text ending at line 1 column 926 > > mu'o mi'e betsemes > > > > >
