I had the same feeling about the pronounciation of lojban. It sounds
very american that way, but I wouldn't call it wrong. Plus, I just listened
to the podcast again, and realized that epkat only pronounces lojban
'american style' when it's part of an english sentence, *not* in the lojban
parts.

Something which did have me worry, was epkats remark that {e} should
always be prounced

Personally I pronounce it as
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6c/Close-mid_front_unrounded_vowel.ogg
which is (to me as a dutch speaker) a very different sound. I am pretty sure
that both are correct. If not, then somebody should correct the wikipedia
article on lojban.
