I've been checking more closely into the options and here's what I've come up with so far. The dictionary is a pdf file which I cannot edit, so we're stuck with the page size and margins that it's already formatted with. That looks like 8.5x11, and perfect binding isn't available for that size. So "Wire-O" binding is what we'd get (which may actually be a better choice, since it allows the books to open flat). That also changes the pricing structure a (very) little from what I estimated before, and looks like it makes it $12.515 USD (I assume they round the half-cent upwards to $12.52). Shipping rates within the US range from $4.00 per unit (5-6 business days from shipping date) to $18.50 (for next-day), with a number of options in-between. They do ship internationally as well, for a flat $7.00 USD per unit (8-10 business days from shipping date). So, it looks like ordering from Australia would run in total $19.52 USD*. There is also a 30-day money back guarantee on all products (not including shipping costs). For books, they say they need to validate the pdf files prior to getting them set up for sale, in order to make sure the format is alright for publishing (e.g., if the margins are too narrow they won't bind properly, etc.). Since I have no control over the pdf file, it's possible (though unlikely) that the format won't measure up, in which case this idea dies on the vine. So I'll upload a version for them to check out, which they say may take several days. mu'o mi'e la skat. * Still just an estimate, although one that comes probably within only a few cents of the actual cost. Actual costs won't be known to the penny until I get it all set up.
