In all of those, {lo temci}, {lo ctaru} and {lo prenu} behave like constants, they are generic, we don't care about instances. That's how proverbs normally work. (We could also use afterthought connectives {... .e ...} instead of forethought, {ge ... gi ...}, but forethought are usually more clear.) It is also possible to go down to instances of time, tides and people if you want to speak in more detail. These are all equivalent: naku ga su'o temci gi su'o ctaru cu denpa su'o prenu "It is not the case that either there is at least one time or at least one tide that waits for at least one person." genai su'o temci ginai su'o ctaru cu denpa su'o prenu "Neither at least one time nor at least one tide wait for at least one person." ge no temci gi no ctaru cu denpa su'o prenu "Both no time and no tide wait for at least one person." ge ro temci gi ro ctaru naku denpa su'o prenu "Both every time and every tide don't wait for at least one person." ge ro temci gi ro ctaru cu denpa no prenu "Both every time and every tide wait for no person." Finally, we can have a mix of generic {lo temci} and {lo ctaru} with quantification over instances of people {no prenu}: lo temci .e lo ctaru cu denpa no prenu "Time and Tide wait for no man." mu'o mi'e xorxes
