You can make that distinction with {ca'o}, which indicates
an ongoing event, and {mo'u} which indicates the completion
of an event:

    mi pu ca'o tcidu le cukta
    "I was reading the book."

    mi pu mo'u tcidu le cukta
    "I read the book (till the end)."
