I find one of the easier ways to learn lojban is to practice writing in 
it; since I am an engineer by trade, naturally, I sometimes try and 
write about engineering terms.  Many of them make sense as fu'ivla; 
however some are so general that it would make some sense to develop a 
sensible tanru or possibly lujvo for expressing them.

In the four concepts below, I've tried to develop a comprehensive 
English definition for the word.

For the word engineering itself, there are definitions on jbovlaste, 
though I'm not sure the English definitions of zbaske and mi'irlarcu 
really reflect what I'm thinking of.  In particular, I define an 
engineer (a technical one, as opposed to a railroad engineer) as a 
person who specializes in the development and/or improvement of 
processes and/or things.  It's probably not the best definition, but it 
is a bit more general than the one behind mi'irlarcu (machine kind of art).

To this end I suggest something like "dacti farvi jibri", i.e. ((thing 
type of) development type of) job.  There probably are things that 
aren't engineered, but there probably aren't many, and it seems 
reasonable to use the unrestricted "thing" instead of minji ja pruce ja 
jgina ja dargu ja dinju etc.

I have three more words begging for a translation:

1. electrical circuit - a set of devices connected together in such a 
way that electricity can flow through one or more loops either 
conditionally or simultaneously

    dikca - electric
    clupa - loop

    Propose: dikca clupa
    dicyclupa

Since clupa is non-specific about number, and so is circuit, in the 
general sense, this seems like a good match.

2. electrical amplifier - an electrical circuit that copies and usually 
modifies the input to the output

    fukpi je galfi dicyclupa

3. logical circuit

    logji dicyclupa

Any thoughts and/or opinions?
