It looks right now like the collaboration between the Logical Language Institute and the Klingon Language Institute will take the form of a humorous and informative skit. We have a function space room for Saturday evening and all of Sunday, and will spend Friday and Saturday morning/afternoon in a public area, possibly the game room. It's a good idea to start off our events in a location that draws attention and attendance from attendees who otherwise would not have known about us. Next let's review the guest list. We're still a couple of months out and attendance is already up this year. Lojban enthusiasts are coming from all over; from Utah, Alabama, NYC, Michigan, as close as Pennsylvania, and as far away as California. I have the info and payment I need, with which to register: John Woldemar Cowan, author of The Complete Lojban Language, Gale Cowan, Rachel Adamec, her son Dan (the youngest Lojbanist), Stephen Weeks (Tene), and John Schock (djancak). Needless to say, I'll be joining you and podcasting from the event. Currently, there are several who have sent me payment, but not street address, city, state, and zip code, or vice-versa: our webmaster and LLG Board secretary Robin Lee Powell (camgusmis), my friend Bruce Webber from le lojbo girzu pe la .micigyn., Adam Cooper (komfo, amonan), and the Klingon and Hebrew Lojbanist Mark Shoulson (clsn) who will give a Lojban class in which he can answer your questions in depth. Theodore Reed (bancus) will possibly attend, but can't confirm until the last minute. Lojban co-founders Lojbab and Nora LeChevalier have also told me they firmly intend to be there, and I'm sure they'll register soon. That's an exciting guest list! To receive the discount group rate of $30, reg info and payment are due no later than Friday, October 27, 2006. For those who register from here on out, Robin Powell is dealing with the money as a first step, as he has a PayPal Premium account. Paypal $30 to rlpowell@digitalkingdom.org, which must be sent in time to clear by October 27. This cost covers only your admission badge to Philcon and jbonunsla, not lodging costs. I'm keeping a list of those who need to split a hotel room with someone to save costs, so if you should be on that list, let me know. Currently at least one hotel room is filled, and some of us are staying in a second room which can comfortably fit some more people who can split the cost. -Matt Arnold (epkat)
