things without looking anything up, despite the fact that I probably only have
memorized  about 50-60 gismu (haven't actively counted it up).  I've even been
using lojban with my dog:  ko klama ti, ko klama tu (or ko klama fi mi), ko
stali, ko zuste.
On the radio today, I heard an interviewer ask (I think in reference to
fighting terrorism), "Will you continue to use the same tools?"  I immediately
said, "xu do baca'o pilno la'edi'u" without hesitation.  I also said to my son
yesterday, when trying to remember a conversational thread "mi djuno le du'u
mi'o pu na tavla fi la lojban" (I know, I probably should have said "mi djuno
le du'u mi'o pu  casnu na'ebo la lojban" but I didn't know casnu (I remembered
there was some brivla for "discuss", but didn't know what it was), and the
sumti negation didn't occur to me until later).  But still, I am proud of
myself.
