Also, since jeftu already talks about an event in the x1 place, you might like this: lenu mi tadni la lojban cu jeftu li pavo (or if you want to keep your original word order: li pavo cu se jeftu lenu mi tadni la lojban (note that I've also dropped the co'a since I'm now asserting you've studied lojban for a 14-week period). >.ije mi ca ka'e casnu so'o sampu bau ly. Ungrammatical as it stands (I like to run everything I send out through jbofi'e to make sure it at least passes that level of processing (although jbofi'e will give a false negative on some constructions, as it likes a bit more "ku"s than are strictly necessary). "ije"=>".ijebo" Also, while the rest is fine as is, since tavla already has a language and subject component, you might consider .ijebo mi ca ka'e tavla fi so'o sampu ly > i ki'u lenu mi na'e tcetoi tadni kei la'edi'u joi la'ede'u cu xamgu pe'i Fine. >.i .au da'i su'o pendo be mi cu bazi co'a tadni I think it's okay, but I'm not sure if the da'i adds much to it. >.i seri'abo da'i mi'a ka'e tavla bau la lojban. vau .ui Yes, you want mu'i ot seri'a here, because you are talking about why _you want_ them to learn it. Here, you probably do want to use casnu, not tavla because you are expressing a desire to talk with the other person (At least, I assume that's what you are trying to convey): imu'ibo mi'a ka'e casnu bau la lojban. You might also try .imu'ibo mi ka'e tavla py fo la lojban ui (remembering that tavla already has a language piece in it). The vau is not needed in either case. > .i zo'o mi dapma le rodo ka tolcando Ungrammatical. You want either .i zo'o mi dapma le le rodo ka tolcando (you damn the property being busy of all of your audience) or .i zo'o mi dapma ro le do ka tolcando (you damn the entire quantity of being busy of your audience). Not sure which you are going for here... > ... > > It's 14 weeks since I started studying Lojban, and I can discuss some > simple stuff in the language. Since I've not been trying very hard I > think that's pretty good. It'd be cool if at least one friend of mine > started learning soon, then we could speak Lojban together [happy > sound]. Damn all of your busy-ness ;) > > mu'o mi'e .karl. > --gejyspa
