But for example, you could have wanted to use mu'i here ("with the motive of...") (which I have probably been my personal 1st choice, but yours was probably better) or ja'e ("which results in..."), heck, maybe even "fi'o tertcu" ("needed for purpose"), etc. --gejyspa -----Original Message----- From: lojban-beginners-bounce@lojban.org [mailto:lojban-beginners-bounce@lojban.org] On Behalf Of ANDREW PIEKARSKI Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2007 9:39 AM To: lojban-beginners@lojban.org Subject: [lojban-beginners] Re: Please review # 001 Oh, I forgot to add this to my e-mail of a few minutes ago. It took me a long time to find {tezu'e}. It's not there in Lojban For Beginners and even in the CCL it barely merits a mention. Surely, ".....in order to...." and "...for the purpose of..." are used frequently in all languages. Am I missing something? .andrus. ----- Original Message ---- From: Pierre Abbat To: lojban-beginners@lojban.org Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2007 5:08:14 AM Subject: [lojban-beginners] Re: Please review # 001 On Wednesday 18 April 2007 23:51, ANDREW PIEKARSKI wrote: > Hi all, > > Please review my translation and make appropriate suggestions. Instead of {mi bilga lenu klama}, I'd say {ei mi klama}. Pierre
