It was made for children. It's full of adventure. It made me wonder what was coming next. How is not a children's book? (And for the record, is much shorter then Harry Potter, Artemis, Fowler, etc. that Colin seems to prefer). --gejyspa Andrew: First of all, let's start with what we agree on. We need childrens books for people to start with, and Alice in Wonderland hardly qualifies. Colin: Include me out. Apart from attracting initial interest, I think what's lacking is the equivalent of children's books. Not complex things like "Alice", or intense things like "The Red Mask", but children's adventure and action stories. Direct, simple, full of things happening that make you want to know what's coming next. "Harry Potter", "Guards! Guards!" or "Artemis Fowl", for example, although they are all too long.
