(A) I understand what you mean. There seems to be
a technical problem o= n your end, then. Can YOU
do anything about it? Maybe the configuration = of
the browser or the player you use? I'm not an expert
in these ki= nd of things though...

(B) Has anybody else experienced this kind of= problem?
Does anybody use firefox WITHOUT experiencing any
problems?

Jon, there are three (minor?) problems with the solution
you pro= pose:

(1) I would have to redo all the recordings
(2) All the mp3= files would get a little bigger
(thus using a b= it more disk space and
taking a bit more time to download)
(3) I us= e standard technology (i.e. internationally
reco= gnized technologies for which standards exist).
= This way my job as webmaster is easier. I'm a
&nbs= p;bit worried that I may never finish this project
if I start to tailor the site w.r.t. specific    client configurations.

Jon, I hope you can= understand my point of view?
I won't follow your recommendation unl= ess there
is a strong feedback from other people experiencing
the same problem (B).
