Obviously, this is the case for gismu and lujvo. However, I've seen some fu'ivla that start with a vowel (for example, jbovlaste lists agbakate as a fu'ivla for avocado). To be honest, when I saw a fu'ivla starting in a vowel for the first time I didn't believe that it was a valid fu'ivla. But now I'm pretty sure that fu'ivla may start with a vowel under certain circumstances. mu'o mi'e daniel
