If not, why not? The book is talking about cmevla. You can take a selbri, precede it with {la}, and make a cmene. You can also take one or more cmevla, precede it with {la}, and make a cmene. So {la kot.divuar.} and {la xantyde'i xaskoi} are both cmene, though only the first has cmevla in it. Pierre
