I guess what confused me on this was the use of "lo mi karce cu va zvati" for "my car is there", in Everyday Lojban Lesson 1. I can't see why this is "lo" and not "le" - surely the thing that's over there is a particular car of his that he's thinking of. Also, is there some kind of problem with jbovlaste? There is a much simpler lojban dictionary at http://members.fortunecity.com/jeroenkuiper/Linguistics/Lojban/Dictionary/aindex.html which is what I've been having to use, because jbovlaste routinely fails to find simple searches or returns bizarre ones. (Search for "dog" and it'll tell you that place 1 of gerku means "dog in the sense of delete" (!?); search for "success" and it'll find nothing at all, even though snada is in the fortunecity dictionary; ask for a word list and it slumbers). -- Best regards, Mark mailto:mark@antelope.nildram.co.uk
