Given that cmene cannot have the word "la" in it[1], and reading over the pronunciation guide[2], I think the closest spelling and pronunciation in Lojban of "Alan" is "Alyn.". This accounts for the stress of the first syllable instead of the last, and sounds about right when I pronounce it: "/AH,luhn/" How did I do? Is there a closer approximation?
