A lujvo for "motorcycle= " would most likely be

matryrelxilma'e

But it sometimes sounds too long for me to use around. So, as an
experiment, I created a fu'ivla out of it:

trxlma'e

The idea is basically to 1) omit the vowels from the seltau(-ish)
part, 2) remove any impermissible initial consonant pairs or other
clusters, 3) remove any repeating letters for the sake of simplicity,
4) and adapt it to a valid fu'ivla form
(http://www.lojban.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=3DExhaustive+list+of+s= hort+fu%27ivla+forms)
if necessary. My example went like this:

0) matryrelxilma'e
1) mtrrlxlma'e
2) trlxlma'e
3) trxlma'e
4) trxlma'e (no adaptation required)

What do you think about it?

mu'o mi'e tijlan

It sort of defeats the purpose of having word-building blocks like gis= mu and rafsi if you can't decompose the word.
If the lujvo "matryrelxilma'e" is too long for frequent use, then star= t with it and then simplify it to the gismu of its last rafsi: "marce".
