For example: > >  zgikle-r-jazu (the genre of Jazz music) >  zgitadj-r-jazu (the techniques of Jazz music) Both "zgiklerjazu" and "zgitadjrjazu" are valid fu'ivla forms, but they are not type-3. These three word forms: CVC-r-C...V CVCC-r-C...V CCVC-r-C...V happen to be valid fu'ivla no matter what you fill the gap with (as long as you respect permissible clusters, and replace -r- with -n- or -l- as necessary), so they are convenient patterns to form fu'ivla without worrying that something will break down. Those three forms only were called "type-3" fu'ivla. Not every string of rafsi followed by -r-C...V will produce a valid fu'ivla form. For example: zgikle-r-kantri is not a valid fu'ivla. "lo zgiklerkantri" will parse as a lujvo: loz-gik-ler-kan-tri So CCVCCV-r-C...V does not work as a general pattern for fu'ivla. CCVCVCC-r-C...V on the other hand does always work, so if you want you can add that form to your fu'ivla making patterns. Whether we call it type-3 or type-4 is not really important. In fact, as long as the last rafsi is a long (4-letter) rafsi, you could use any lujvo followed by -r-C...V to form a valid fu'ivla), so "zgiklesrkantri" is valid. mu'o mi'e xorxes
