The only response I got was that we should not actively promote until the language was 'finished' - which I think means at least the cmavo definitions should be completed. In any case, promotion of lojban should be a 'strategic' objective owned by the LLG.  I don't mind doing the work, but there need to be clear objectives set by the Board, reviewed for progress periodically etc. 2) To manage the cmavo definition project.  Somebody else was chosen, but I understand there hasn't been much progress (anyone - please correct me if I'm wrong). So once again, yes, volunteers are essential.  But for them to be productive, there needs to be a fully functional LLG Board and a fully functional BPFK. I suspect part of the problem is that to be a member, you have to be a competent lojbanist.  For the BPFK that's entirely reasonable, but the LLG?  Tha't like saying that to be good corporate managers, the CEO's of IBM and Hewlett-Packard should prove themselves as software engineers first! By the way, with all respect, if LLG Board or BPFK members don't have the time to play their part, they should do what such members anywhere in the world do (or should do) - resign. totus
