The closest gismu for "master" in the sense of "someone who has control over something or someone" would be "jatna", "catni", or "jitro". Another sense of "master" such as "an expert at something" would be "certu", which seems appropriate, in addition to the other three gismu, with regard to the x2 of "noljedai". According to starwars.wikia.com, Jedi Master is: "the second highest rank a Jedi could obtain, and a traditional requirement for becoming part of the Jedi Council, the main interface between the Jedi and the government of the Republic. It was reserved for those who have shown exceptional devotion and skill in the Force." Among the said 4 gismu, the one which i can most associate with both a social rank and a skill rank seems to be "jatna". Loosely speaking, "noljedai jatna" might do. But you might also want to create a lujvo such as "relmomja'a" (re-moi-jatna) for this particular definition of "master" above. > Or would one say "nobli noljedai"? I would take that as "a Jedi of an elite kind", who may not necessarily be part of a political authority i.e. the Jedi Council. tijlan
